RELATIONSHP ETHICS: I DO OR DO I?
Who wants to get married? I know I do. Most of us (ladies) become more excited about the ring, the status and oh of course the wedding planning. When we should be more excited about the great guy we’re about to marry. Sometimes even before we get proposed to, we start fantasizing about the ring, and even start planning a wedding that doesn’t exist (yet). It becomes the main focus, but shouldn’t we be focused on the guy we’re going to get married to. Shouldn’t we make sure that he is the right one instead of making sure he gets the right ring? In this generation it’s easy to get caught up in materialistic things and statuses. People like the idea of marriage but not marriage itself. That’s why most people find themselves in toxic relationships because having the status “married” seems more important than being “happy”. Marriage is not easy and therefore shouldn’t be taken lightly. We need to realize that marriage is a whole new level. One some of us may not be ready for even if we’ve already set a wedding date.
