Kuami Eugene in the news again for stealing a song from Nigerian Rapper/Singer Panshak Zamani popularly known as Ice Prince in showbiz circles. The Lynx Entertainment signee, Kuami Eugene accused of stealing from a Nigerian this time.
First it was a song by Malian musician called Sidiki Diabate.
According to music analysts, Kuame Eugene’s Confusion has the same beats as Sidiki Diabaté’s “Fais Moi Confiance”. And since that of Sidiki Diabaté was release years ago, Kuame Eugene, therefore, stole from him.
If you you’ve listened to “Wish Me Well” by Kuami Eugene, a song which was released earlier today but enjoying massive airplay then I’m sure you heard him do some little rap in the song which is said to be a verse from Ice Prince’s “In the Morning” song featuring Terry G.
An “inspiration” as he (Kuame) always says when asked if he stole a song or not.
Then again the part which says “If you Wish me well a dey wish you well Oo” is a reverse of a line in a song Titled “Juju” by Ice Prince of which the original song says “If you wish me well ago wish you well Oo but if you wish me fire then go to hell Oo”
Wow! What is Eugene trying to achieve? Well I don’t really see a big deal with this but he should redeem his image because Ghanaians are tagging him as a “song thief”
I wish you well Oo! Please don’t record with a stolen line
