RELATIONSHIP ETHICS: FRIENDZONE
We’ve all been in the friend zone before, whether we liked it or not. That feeling of dread knowing you love that person but that person just doesn’t love you back the same way. They want you in their life but only as their friend. Most of the time we play along hoping one day there will be something more. While waiting for that glorious day, we tend to fall in love with the person even more, because we get close to them but not as close as we want to. We watch them get into relationships and silently praise when those relationships end. But are we really gonna watch and wait forever for them to realize that the one they need is right in front of them. It can be exhausting and heart-breaking at the same time. Sometimes we even avoid other relationship opportunities because we are too busy waiting for that one person to remove and upgrade us from the friend zone. We might just need to accept what is and move on, cause the friend zone is usually a permanent position.
